Well, this is something I’ve been looking forward to!
My story with Fr Gregory and the Holy Cross parish in Linthicum Heights started three years ago. In 2011, I received a research grant at the Library of Congress, in Washington DC; Fr Gregory and his parish were kind enough to put up with me for almost half a year, despite my usual grumpiness and lack of any social skills. Some of my most beautiful memories of that summer took place in that church – I remember waking up at 5:15 am, so I may to get to church and celebrate the Divine Liturgy before leaving to the Library. And we did this quite often, sometimes even on a daily basis (such as during the Dormition Fast, for instance).
This time, I’m back for only three days, from Friday to Sunday (March 7-9). I shall give the Sunday sermon and make a presentation of our monastery at the end. I really look forward to this week’end; I hope to meet again many of the friends I made there.
